"Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle" -Abraham Lincoln

It's been a year now since I met Jacky. A little over a year ago I was boarding my horse at a barn and was stressed out about the care she was getting, and finally one day my husband came home from work with a piece of paper with a name and number on it and it just felt like fate. I looked up her farm on Facebook and it looked wayyyy too good to be true, my friend Sydney and I decided to go check out her farm in person and knew it was the place for us. I can't even explain to you the excitement we had, nervous yes, but excited, so that week we put our notice in at our current barn and the wait began. Since the day I moved Bell (My horse) to her farm I have not regretted it one bit, and when I brought Milli down from PA she was so happy to make room for my last minute decision to bring her back with me.

Once I got Milli to NC and we started getting her happy and healthy to be able to start competing, I realized Jacky and I had more in common than I thought. Over the last couple of months we have started hauling to barrel races together and motivating each other to make every run better and better. I couldn't ask for a better hauling partner and person to be in my corner rooting me on, I've never had someone so happy to see me succeed even while competing against each other. What everyone forget to remember in this day and age is the only person you're competing against is yourself. We all have different goals, my goal every time is to better myself, to ride better for my horse, and give my horse the confidence she needs to get the job done, I never want to beat someone else or be ahead of someone else and I try to surround myself with people who think the same. Your win doesn't mean I lose and vis versa, we all need to work together to get to the top and fill each other with confidence and determination. I count myself very lucky to have an awesome group of people constantly cheering me on and filling me up with nothing but positivity, as I try my best to do with them and always will. Jacky and I have worked together and shared strategy over the last couple of months to keep our horses and ourselves moving forward and I can't wait to see where this year takes us. #girlpower

I cannot say enough good things about Jacky, she is hard working, helpful, and educated. From the day I saw her and her beautiful horses I knew I wanted to do a photoshoot with her! You guys, I've literally talked about it for just about a year until I got the nerve to finally ask! Jacky took the whole day and bathed and cleaned up her babies so they would be looking flawless for the shoot. She gave me full rein with outfits and if you know Jacky, you know she doesn't wear dresses often so I took my chance and got her in a white dress. When you think goddess, western, boho vibes you think white dress and cowboy boots right??? All of her horses were so well behaved and looked so beautiful as you can see below! Recently Jacky decided to quit her job at Walmart after I believe she said 10 years of working there and take on horse training full time. I have been recommending her every chance I get, and pushing her to realize that she could do this because she is so talented! She is specializing in starting young horses and breaking bad habits, and I have already seen her work such magic on a few horses she has taken on after starting her training journey. If you are looking for someone to start your horse you defiantly need to look her way!
